because i'm deeply involved doesn't mean i know what's going on i've often been accused of making art then just as quickly gotten in trouble because i had no theory to back it up i'm still a philistine at heart-- if what you've produced requires translation you've missed the mark--art *is* the explanation i, too, have chattered about music, but there is no substitute--just listen today's visit to berks nature preserve was the best part of this trip so far wetlands improv the purest expression of water spirit, but it's a spectrum... the nature part is easy, clean air & birdsong, but just try dragging that feeling back into loud crowded urban spaces hung with smog that's sarah's job |
