Satan was generous and brought my sister's family
a Blu-Ray player, high definition television, and a copy
of the exhaustive
Monty Python documentary series--
something like 6 hours long. I wish I'd had time to watch
it all, made it up to Life of Brian. Good old Eric Idle and I
was surprised to learn Terry Gilliam is from Minnesota.
As for the HD experience: I still think a projector is a
better investment. It's lightweight, compact, portable
and probably a lot less resource-intensive than those
monster TV screens--the SUVs of home entertainment.
