| I don't know too many people in the
Czech Republic but those I do know--Dan, Honza, Julia, 'Kub, Mirek, Thea, Veronika, Zuzana--make coming back a joy. My next door neighbor in the village Jarda is always smiling and dropping one-liners. "Nothing's changed except we're getting younger and better looking every day," he tells me as their new cat Uhlík--little piece of coal--climbs from top of gate to shoulder. We were to go to the pub but my desynchronisis got the better of me. I slept like a corpse for a few hours then woke just before midnight on the eve of my 40th birthday... |
