Don't know why they call it the
water taxi--it resembles more
a bus, and it's even part of the
Metro system. It's $3 for a 12
minute ride across Elliott Bay
but only $1 if you have a valid
transfer. It runs between Alki
and Pier 55. If you're on a bike,
it's a handy way to circumvent
the humpy West Seattle Bridge;
there's a place onboard where
you strap in your steed. Some
folks from Miami broke my five
and marveled at the beautiful
weather. That's sunny Seattle!
I said and stood outside on the
bow deck, mesmerized by light.
