well, i finally did it--i picked up a new camera,
a nikon 4500 on 10-day trial. you can help defray
the cost and make the purchase permanent. con-
sider it an investment in future entertainment.

so, now that this site is going to revert to a
photographic slant, i googled "the world's
best photograph" and damned if it didn't
turn one up that raises the bar for all of us!

number 0001 (what, only four digits?) on
my tentative new camera was this image,
a flaming skull or something from juxtapoz,
which currently has a bit about alex grey in it.
